Corner Store Games

Corner Store Games is an independent studio making small, carefully designed games built around systems, survival, and the quieter end of science fiction.

We are not trying to make the next big thing. We are trying to make things worth finishing — games short enough to complete, deep enough to think about, and designed so that losing is as interesting as winning.

POTTED!

You are a sentient houseplant. Your owner, a researcher named Dr. Smith, has accidentally packed you with a space station shipment. Can you manage your photosynthetic energy, grow roots toward water, and navigate light and shadow across three increasingly unforgiving environments — and find your way home?

A browser puzzle game built in Godot. Three levels, two difficulty modes, and a complete narrative arc. Roughly 10–15 minutes to finish.

Aftergrown

(In Development)

A solarpunk roguelike deckbuilder set in a world reclaimed by nature after civilization’s quiet collapse. Towering mycelium networks span ruined cities, solar-powered communities tend flourishing gardens, and humanity has learned — slowly — to live with the earth rather than against it.

You play as a Grower navigating procedurally generated biomes, building a deck of cultivation, symbiosis, and survival cards to restore fractured ecosystems and protect the fragile communities that remain. Every run asks how much must be sacrificed to let something new thrive.

Hollow Light

(In Development)

A contemplative idle sim in which you guide a colony of fireflies through a single season — roughly 20 minutes — managing light energy, mating cycles, and survival against predators and environmental crises.

Every run closes with a procedurally generated poem drawn from the actual events of that playthrough — naming the crises that hit hardest, the fireflies that held on longest, and the moments that turned the tide. Dying well generates better poetry than winning does.
